You’re probably wondering what a “Doh Bar” is now right? When I first heard it, I immediately thought of Homer Simpson, but it has nothing to do with him. There is this quaint little counter service restaurant at Downtown Disney called Cookes of Dublin and they have some pretty tasty food! It is on the side of Raglan Road and I’m sure you’ve probably walked by it and never even noticed it. They serve Irish style foods, including fish and chips and the all in one pies. Now I don’t eat seafood, so I can’t tell you how that compares, but their chicken and field mushroom pie is delicious and filling.
They have a selection of desserts to choose from including this “Doh Bar” I speak of. Every time I walk past Cookes of Dublin I look at this on the menu and say I have to try it, but I let my healthy side take over and normally walk on by. My husband and I happened to be their with my niece and she convinced us to let loose and try it. The “Doh Bar” is officially a donut battered deep-fried Snickers![caption id="attachment_197" align="aligncenter" width="512"] This is what this deep-fried wonderfulness looks like[/caption]

Even though I try to be healthy, I cannot deny that I love food, and well everything deep-fried is normally pretty tasty. This was no exception!! And don’t try to eat it off the stick it comes on, because that gooey goodness just slides right off. It was the perfect amount of batter to candy bar ratio and we all agreed that it will be something that we don’t walk past again. So the next time you’re at Downtown Disney, make sure to stop by and try one for yourself.
