HI! I’m Samantha. I am a 30 something mother who embarked on an incredible journey when I decided to take time away from working to spend it with my daughter. You will hear a lot about running, traveling, food, and things I’ve learned along the way as a mom.
So why Running Through Motherhood? Well, if you have children you know. They grow so fast and you are literally running through it trying to figure things out whether you work or stay at home, but my running journey has started with becoming a mother. I was diagnosed with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome, a common cause for infertility, while trying to get pregnant for the first time. My doctor’s treatment was “30 minutes of cardio every day” and it was not an option. So I started to amp up the walking to more running.
I am learning to love running. It’s harder than it sounds if you’ve never tried it. I also want to encourage moms of all ages to start a healthy routine, and walking or running are an easy way to do this that you can bring your baby along or have your children start with you.
I love to travel and am lucky that my husband does too. Our daughter loves to travel too. She had visited 5 states before she was 6 months old. We visit Walt Disney World quite often. I call it my second home because I have been visiting there since I was a few months old. We even got married at “The Happiest Place On Earth”! It was one of the best experiences and parties I have ever had.
I also love food. I enjoy making some sweet treats every once in a while, and eat them way too often. Part of why I am learning to love running is to offset my joy of sweets and food.
You also will on hear my opinion on things without outside influence and see real pictures. I see many sites with pictures that are very staged to look perfect and the PR approved writings.
